Angela TenBroeck

Angela TenBroeck is a seasoned executive and global leader in sustainable agriculture and economic development, recognized for creating systemic solutions that bridge economic gaps for smallholder producers. As the City of Jacksonville’s first Manager of Urban Agriculture, Agri-ecology, Fisheries, and Land Use Policy, she led efforts to modernize agricultural practices, strengthen food security, and address climate change through partnerships with tribal governments, grassroots organizations, and local businesses.
Her international work spans Kenya, Malawi, and South Sudan, where she has led initiatives in climate-smart agriculture, aquaponics, youth training, and regenerative food systems. This global lens informs her local and national strategies, driving community-led, scalable solutions that promote resilience and equity.
Angela brings deep expertise in nonprofit management, agricultural technology, aquaculture design, instructional design, and team building. She is known for integrating traditional ecological knowledge with modern sustainable practices to benefit both urban and rural communities.
She holds degrees from the University of North Florida, Cornell University’s SC Johnson School of Business, and is a RALLY SEA Fellow at Rollins College Crummer School of Business. Honored as Florida’s 2021 Woman of the Year in Agriculture and a nominee for The Earthshot Prize, Angela continues to champion food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, and inclusive economic growth around the world.
