Dr. Leo Mediavilla is an active facilitator for the FranklinCovey Leadership Center and has been for the past 28 years.
He retired December 1st, 2006, after 35 years of service from Collier County Public Schools.
Has a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida.
Is a past president of the Rotary Club of Naples (97-98).
In 2004, at age 60, he earned a First Degree Black Belt in karate.
Co-chaired with Supervisor of Election, Jennifer Edwards, the county’s United Way Fundraising Campaign in 2006 that raised 2.4 million dollars.
In 2008 Dr. Mediavilla returned to Collier County Public Schools and began working two and a half days per week in the Naples Jail Center bringing behavioral change to inmates.
Awarded a 2010 Man of Distinction from the Education Foundation.
In 2011, became one of only two Master Certified Trainers for the FranklinCovey 7HABITS on the Inside program worldwide.
October 1, 2012 Dr. Mediavilla was inducted into the Adult and Community Educators Hall of Fame.
